Health & Wellness in the 21st Century
I’m here to make all that “hippie new-age shit” that people sell in
corny and uber-ethereal ways, make a bit more sense.
So it goes, articles will come out daily on health and wellness. Friends, family, and word of mouth will suggest new and different things for diet, exercise, life hacking, mindfulness, and all else. As it always has been.
But in an age where distraction from technology is high, and the options for lifestyle are plenty, an honorable onus is on each of us to make a quantum leap for ourselves. In the past we have been aided by quantum leaps in technology. Yet we need a quantum leap in the individual, so to bring about a quantum leap for the whole that leaves humanity thriving and ascending.
Yes, I am suggesting and do believe that our current behavior as a whole is really awful. It’s terrible really, as a whole. But what does a failure as a whole look like? An opportunity to fix what’s not serving us! It’s no one’s fault, anyway. We’re simply carrying habits and traditions from ways of the quiet past that need to be shaken clean off of us. Habits can be hard to rid of, especially so the more years you’ve been clinging to them. But that’s why I’m here to help inspire and translate so we can do this thing and save the beautiful planet, all of its vital inhabitants, and ourselves.
3 key areas
1: Improve our own mental and spiritual wellness, adapting at a rate faster than the rate at which technology begs to change us. And that means exponentially. Or else.
2: Open our minds to both ancient and eastern medicine, traditional western medicine, as well as new-age (in fact old-age) methods of health, wellness, and spiritualism. All the while, choosing what is right for us individually, at any given moment.
3: Be sticklers on sourcing, supporting companies that have a true and vetted interest in sustaining the natural world, and awakening to the true reality (tasty as it is) of the devastation of environment and spirit that meat and dairy farming has on the planet and the individual.
We’re in the same petri dish, together. Every action has a reaction, and it is all self contained here on Earth.
I have written articles below corresponding to these three different areas, with trusted Bowdmasté recommendations for how to begin.
