Who? Anecdote in reference to an upcoming song
Keep Running
Keep Running. And make sure you're doing it barefoot every now and then. And make sure when you press into the ground you feel that connection, and the ego gets knocked back into place. Let it tame your mind and distract from all that is made. When the beast kicks in and your lungs start to feel weak, breath deeper and harder. When the pain repeats, do not stop but slow your pace. When your brain kicks in and your mind is tempted to rest, tired at last, keep running. Reflect on the feeling, feel it from your mind's perspective and let the body be. When you hit the grass and you feel humbled, sweat dropping from your forehead, you feel rewarded. Don't discard this moment and hope that from it you'll never depart. When the end at last comes and you throw your hands up in the air like Rocky, kick off your head phones if you have them and listen as the world hasn't changed. It sounds the exact same. A man down the street yells at another and a garbage truck pierces an almost silent moment. The other beings are at their duties, but you are more prepared, you are more at peace, and you are changed. So Keep Running. You don't think you're a runner? You wrong.
